This wine is a love letter to the mountain ridge that runs through our vineyards in East Amwell, Hopewell, and Princeton. When it comes to wine, land is everything. The Sourland Ridge Red smells like a warm day on the farm; sunshine on a hayfield. There are wafts of juicy berry fruits too- cherry, boysenberry, blackberry. There's a candied sweetness and a dusty cocoa note; together they give a sense of tootsie roll folded in with all the fruit. Medium-bodied and well balanced, this wine would elevate your grilled cheeseburger, or grilled skirt steak in a chimichurri. A blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot. Aged 28 months in neutral French oak; 208 cases produced.
