DR. Kris R. Nielsen - Partner
E-mail: kris@unionvillevineyards.com
Kris Nielsen’s love of agriculture and viticulture developed during his
boyhood days growing up in Maryland. Over the years, his interest in the
history of fruit growing and agriculture proved to be a passion rather
than a hobby. His interest in grape growing ultimately led him to the
purchase of the property where Unionville Vineyards’ vines now call home.
The property has had a long tradition in agriculture; first as a fruit
orchard and then transitioning to a dairy farm. The soil conditions and
location was a perfect match to support a vineyard and continue the
long-standing tradition of agriculture in Hunterdon County. The first
vines were planted in 1987 and the winery opened its doors to the public
in 1993 winning two medals in its first year of operation. Since that time
Unionville Wines continue to win numerous awards and has appeared in Hugh
Johnson’s Wine Guide for last four years.
Kris is a long-standing member of the Chaine
des Rotisseurs (and is a professional member of
L’ Ordre Mondial) and the Brotherhood of the Knights of the Vines. He is
also Chairman of The Nielsen-Wurster Group, Inc., a premier provider of
Management Consulting, Risk Management and Dispute Resolution services to
the engineering and construction industries, process and infrastructure
industries as well as the legal and financial institutions that work with
them. |

DR. Patricia D. Galloway - Partner
E-mail:
pat@unionvillevineyards.com
Patricia Galloway is a Partner in Unionville
Vineyards. With a passion for wine and eye for design and fine arts, it
was Pat’s marketing and sales vision that was the creative force behind
the fox-hunt theme of the winery which graces the logo and labels. During
her extensive worldwide travels, Pat has collected antique lithographs of
the fox hunt theme which she personally selects to be featured on the
Hunter’s Red Reserve wine labels. In 1987-88 Pat served as president of
the Garden State Wine Grower’s Association. During her term, she assisted
in the passing of legislature that decoupled plenary licenses from
population and allowed farm wineries to have more sales outlets in the
State of New Jersey. Pat is a long-standing member of the Chaine des
Rotisseurs (and is a professional member of L’Ordre Mondial) and the
Brotherhood of the Knights of the Vines.
Pat is also Chief Executive Officer and
President of The Nielsen-Wurster Group, Inc. and is the first
women president of The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) for
2003-2004. |
